We are taking a strategic step forward in our expansion plan into demanding sectors, such as aerospace and railway, following the addition of this new measurement technology in partnership with Metrología Sariki.

At Zerbimek, we continue to grow and expand our technological capabilities. With the goal of delivering the highest quality in our machining services, we have equipped our facilities with a new three-dimensional measuring machine, acquired with the specialized support of Metrología Sariki.

This strategic investment represents a qualitative leap forward in our quality and production processes, providing direct benefits to our clients:

A key step toward EN 9100 certification and the aerospace industry

This acquisition not only optimizes our day-to-day operations, but also drives our future vision. It represents a fundamental advancement in Zerbimek’s commitment to strategic sectors such as aerospace and railway.

This milestone reinforces recent actions, such as joining HEGAN (Basque Aerospace Cluster), and marks a decisive step forward in our journey toward obtaining EN 9100 certification—the international quality standard of reference for the aviation, space, and defense industries.

We would like to extend our thanks to the entire Metrología Sariki team—and especially Borja Garate Iraolagoitia—for their guidance and support throughout this project, as well as to the entire Zerbimek team, whose daily commitment makes our ongoing progress possible.

Once again, Zerbimek has participated in the Global Industrie trade fair, one of the leading international events in the European industrial sector, held this year in Paris from March 30 to April 2.

Our participation in this new edition has allowed us to continue strengthening our international presence, generate new collaboration opportunities and maintain contact with companies and professionals from across the industrial sector.

Every year, Global Industrie brings together thousands of professionals and industrial companies from around the world, consolidating its position as a key space for innovation, technology and industrial networking. During the fair, we were able to share our experience in precision machining and learn about the latest trends in the sector.

At Zerbimek, we continue to advance in our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. In recent months, we have taken a very important strategic step to strengthen our production and competitive capacity: the introduction of two new Lagun Machinery machining centres and the automation of one of them with the Nachi MZ12 robot. Both the machining centres and the robot are now operational at our facilities.

LAGUN 5-AXIS EVZ630 MACHINING CENTRE

The first of these pieces of equipment is the Lagun 5-axis EVZ630 machining centre. This is a high-precision machine designed for the manufacture of complex and large parts, allowing us to expand our design possibilities and reduce machining times. With travel distances of 850 mm on the X-axis, 820 mm on the Y-axis and 610 mm on the Z-axis, it is capable of working with parts up to 750 mm in diameter and 450 mm in height. Its rapid feeds and range of rotation on the A axis reinforce the machine’s ability to adapt to demanding parts in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, rail, industrial and capital goods.

LAGUN L850 MACHINING CENTRE WITH AUTOMATED ROBOT

At the same time, we have introduced a LAGUN L850 machining centre with an automated loading and unloading system using NACHI’s MZ12 robot, integrated with GarantBasic technology.
This system represents a major leap forward in terms of productivity and resource optimisation, as it allows the machine to work more autonomously, freeing up our team to focus on tasks with greater added value. The robot has six axes, a horizontal reach of up to 1,454 mm and a load capacity of up to 10 kg. It also offers protection against dust and splashes, ensuring reliability even in demanding working environments.

With these investments, at Zerbimek we are strengthening our production capacity and taking another step forward in improving our processes. All of this is in line with our commitment to the values that define us: always offering the highest quality to our customers and maintaining a constant commitment to innovation.

At Zerbimek, we are in celebration mode. On May 29th, during the Business Day organised by Adegi and held at Fabrika, we were awarded the 2025 Gipuzkoa New Business Award. For the entire team, this recognition is a source of great pride and an incentive to continue growing with the same enthusiasm with which we started.

This award recognises the potential of young companies in Gipuzkoa and, for us, it is a huge motivation to continue working with enthusiasm and commitment. Since we started in 2014, when we were just one person, we have grown to more than 30, investing in technology, expanding our capabilities and taking firm steps towards internationalisation. All this has been possible thanks to the shared effort of those of us who make up Zerbimek. We know that this recognition is not an end, but the beginning of a new stage in which we want to continue improving and growing, always with our eyes set on the future.

From June 3 to 5, we are present at the Subcontracting Fair, held at the BEC – Bilbao Exhibition Centre, a benchmark fair in the machining sector, with exhibitors and visitors both national and international.

Once again, we are excited to be part of this important event, where we present our CNC machining solutions, showing our commitment to precision, efficiency and quality in each of the production processes in which we participate.

We are located in Hall 3, Stand F06, and we will be delighted to welcome both companies we already collaborate with and new contacts interested in learning more about what we do. It is an excellent opportunity to create synergies, share knowledge and discover new opportunities for collaboration.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded by Confebask at the 31st edition of the Business and Vocational Training event, held yesterday at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, as the best dual educational training company in Gipuzkoa.

This recognition, achieved thanks to Adegi’s proposal, highlights our commitment and good work in the field of Dual Educational Training. Our industrial manager, Alain Vivas, collected the award personally together with some colleagues from the company. In addition, Alain had the opportunity to share his personal experiences and advice with the newly graduated students.

This award reinforces one of our main values, which is our commitment to innovative educational models that connect training with the real needs of the employment market, in order to contribute to the development of young local talent and the business fabric of the Basque Country.

It is a real honour for a company the size of Zerbimek to receive such an award, as it shows that we have been doing things well. That is why we want to share this achievement with all our collaborators, students and partners, who have made it possible for us to reach this point.
